The annual Hellenic RX8 club track visit was the next event in line (7 and 8 March 2020) and the car was finally ready for the track again with some major changes in the setup.

The new supercharger kit from SOS (Science of Speed) had been fitted and the total weight was reduced from 1300kg to 1200kg (with 1/4 fuel tank).

The weight savings were achieved by removing almost everything behind the seats:

- Soft top with mechanism and electrical parts

- OEM roll bars and all plastic and carpet trims

- OEM seat belts with mechanism and securing bar

- SRS harness

One more major part that was removed was the cabin heater. An electric 12V heater was installed in its place.

And off we go! The car was transported to the track together with various other track oriented cars, all of which were baptized as "Hondas" by the truck driver, apart from a Ford Focus RS!

The car were delivered to the track with no issues and it was time get down to business!

The car was fitted with Nankang AR1, square 255/40/17. The tire pressure for my car is set to be 31psi warm. I usually start with 28 cold, make a few laps and then check and adjust accordingly.

The car behaved extremely well. The output was more than 60bhp less than the previous setup but due to the weight reduction and my improvement as a driver I easily managed to lower my PB by a whole second! (1.27.5). Unfortunately, I dont have the video from that lap.

Here you can enjoy a lap with a hard top mounted camera (sound is not good).

And another one, battling with a Mercedes AMG GTR PRO, modified by Renntech (750+ bhp). I got to drive this BEAST and it was an unforgettable experience!!

And pics!
