Anti-bump steer kits are not the ultimate solution!

Most S2000 users that have lowered their cars were probably also strongly advised to install an anti-bump steer kit that lifts the steering gear to counter the effect from lowering the car. Several kits are available in the market and when I lowered my car (before even having gotten involved in track driving) I purchased a kit as well without actually consulting an expert.
Quite a few years later, on one visit to the only decent track in Greece, I met an alignment professional (Konstantinos Paradeisis - Speedtech) with which we had a thorough discussion on my car's setup.
We decided to look into the setup in more detail and yesterday was the long expected day!
We installed some adjustable tie rods (from Hardrace) and tried to setup the alignment according to our needs but this was impossible. We could actually setup the static toe-in according to spec but the dynamic toe-in was way outside our expectations.
We then removed the anti-bump steer kit and voila! The toe-in is spot on and the handling of the car has been transformed. The way it copes with road anomalies and the turn-in behavior are vastly improved.
Hopefully, we will have some feedback from on-track experience with the car soon!
Stay tuned!
