Twenty (20) years have passed since my last visit to Serres and the local racing circuit (currently the best in Greece). And this trip was well anticipated! We enrolled for a 2-day track event organized by the RX8 owner's club. We arranged for a truck to transfer our cars to the circuit (>500km away from Athens) and flew to Thessaloniki.

We then rented a car and drove to Serres (1h drive).
The next morning we woke up to see this! A perfect day!

The cars were waiting for us inside the circuit. (this is what I call door to door delivery...) We went through all the arrangements (installing lap timer, paying for the TD) and we were ready to test ourselves and our cars on track. Prior to going to Serres, I had installed a carbon fiber hood with louvers, so as to maximize the flow of air underneath the bonnet.

The alignment was a bit more aggressive than the one we have used on the Megara track in Athens.

And the fun started!

My favorite photo from the event.

OOPS!! What on earth is this thing? Ah ok, just a big go-kart! Simply amazing! (many thanks to Raffaello for letting me try it)

Discussing the racing line and exchanging tips!

Overall it was a great experience, even though I had a compressor belt failure and only managed to drive on the first day (track record not broken, lolol). Till the next time!
