Long time no see! I apologize for not posting in months but life is what happens while you make plans! And what a motto for my last visit to the Nurburgring. But let's take it from the beginning...
The car was being prepared and tuned for several months, in order to be ready for the Nordschleife (early June 2016). A friend and I, had booked a place in a 2-day track day, organized by Grand Turismo Events. http://www.granturismoevents.com/
The car had been upgraded with several items (compared to my last visit to the Ring), and here are the main ones:
- Hispec racing grooved brake discs in the front
- Quaife rear differential
- TOYO R888R tyres, 235/40/17 at the front and 255/40/17 at the rear, bought from demon-tweeks
- Competition Clutch twin clutch
- SPOON 4-point roll bar
- SPOON engine mounts and lower cross beams (front and rear)
- Custom hybrid exhaust system with a remote controlled flap. (This will be discussed in another post)

The suspension had also been tuned for track use.

And the trip begins! (stay tuned for more)
