Track ready?

Men will always be boys and what a great opportunity to confirm it! Time to get some track-oriented toys...

The S2000, as a true RWD track-oriented car needs downforce at the rear wheels to control tail happy behaviours...

And there you go, done!

The APR GTC-200 rear wing is amongst the best in the market and looks nice as well. In order to be able to only have the rear wing installed on TD (track days), a second trunk was bought and was installed every time the car went to the track. Here, still in black colour.

The next think to upgrade are the tires, so it was time to get some semi-slicks on! TOYO R888, 215/45/17 and 245/40/17 fitted on the stock wheels.

Last but not least, time to upgrade the brakes. Keeping the OEM size of calipers and discs, we installed EBC grooved discs and carbotech XP8 pads in the front. In the rear, only the pads were upgraded to carbotech XP8.

Track ready? NO!

The need for a track-proven coilover suspension should not be overlook. Once again, the s2ki forum is the place to look and once again, Gernby (s2ki member who designed my exhaust) had done an amazing review of his new coilovers...

http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/958348-ohlins-dfv-coilover-kit/

Ohlins road and track coilovers were chosen to be used exaclty after their name, road and track! Words cannot express the build quality and ride of these coilovers, both on the road and on the track.

It was time to visit a track again and which place would be the best? To be continued...
